Pyrography is the art of decorating wood by hand using a heated tool to burn designs into the surface. Each mark is made with care, creating a beautiful, lasting design that brings out the natural grain of the wood. Every piece I make is completely unique — full of character, warmth, and that rustic handmade charm.
2. Are all your products handmade?
Yes, every item at Cat’N’Wheel Pyrography is lovingly handmade from start to finish. Each design is drawn, burned, and finished by hand — no lasers, no mass production. This means no two pieces are ever exactly alike, giving you something truly one of a kind.
3. Can I request a custom design or personalization?
Absolutely! I love creating custom pieces. Whether it’s a name, date, quote, or special design, I’m happy to bring your ideas to life. Just send me a message through the website form or my social pages to discuss what you’d like. Custom orders usually take a little longer depending on the design, but I’ll always keep you updated.
4. How long will my order take to arrive?
Ready-made pieces are usually dispatched within 3–5 working days. For custom orders, please allow 4-6 weeks as each piece is made by hand. Once your order is shipped, UK delivery generally takes 2–4 working days. If you need something by a specific date, just let me know — I’ll do my best to make it happen.
5. How should I care for my pyrography piece?
To keep your piece looking its best, avoid direct sunlight and moisture. Simply dust gently with a soft, dry cloth when needed. Some pieces are treated with a varnish to protect the surface (such as coasters) and can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth.
6. Do you ship internationally?
At the moment, I primarily ship within the UK. However, I’m happy to discuss international orders — just get in touch before ordering so I can confirm postage options and delivery times for your country.
7. Do you accept returns or exchanges?
I want you to love your piece! Returns are accepted on non-personalized items within 14 days of delivery. Custom or personalized pieces can’t be returned unless they arrive damaged or faulty — but please contact me if there’s an issue, and I’ll do everything I can to make it right.
8. Can I see your work in person?
Yes! I sometimes attend local craft fairs and makers’ markets. I’ll share details of upcoming events on my social media pages, so be sure to follow along for updates. It’s always lovely to meet people in person and show my work up close.
9. I like one of your designs but would like it burned on a different piece of wood. Is this possible?
Yes, absolutely! Many of my designs can be recreated or adjusted to suit a different piece of wood. Because every item is hand-burned, I can adapt the design to fit a different shape, size, or type of wood — for example, turning a small coaster design into a larger plaque or keyring.
